Belz Voivodeship

Bełz Voivodeship (Polish: Województwo Bełskie, Latin: Palatinatus Belzensis) was a unit of administrative division and local government in Poland from 14th century to the partitions of Poland in 1772–1795. Together with the Ruthenian Voivodeship it was part of Red Ruthenia province.

History

Bełz Voivodeship was formed in 1462 from the territories of the Duchy of Bełz, after the Duchy became annexed by the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland.
